Tax Season Resources and Assistance for 2021
Various tax services are being impacted by COVID-19 precautions. Here are some links to information about what is available in the Biddeford area for the current tax season:
FORMS
- Federal and state tax forms are available by mail only from McArthur Library. Call the reference desk at 284-4181 or make your request online here.
- State tax forms can be requested directly from the Maine Revenue Service or by calling 207-624-7894.
- Federal tax forms can be requested directly from the Internal Revenue Service or by calling 800-829-3676.
TAX PREP ASSISTANCE
- Find current information here about the AARP's Tax-Aide program, which offers free tax preparation to anyone with a special focus on those who are 50 or over and of low to moderate income.
- Find current information here about Cash Maine's free tax preparation program for households that made $57,000 or less in 2021. This service is through York County Community Action, which offers it on Wednesday and Friday during tax season only. Call 207-324-5762 x 2718 for information.
- The statwide 211 information service has information here about virtual and drop off tax preparation.
