Designing for Resilience with Native Plants
Presented by Biddeford Community Gardens
Native plants have evolved in this region over thousands of years and are adapted to our local climate, soils, and wildlife. They support healthy ecosystems by feeding pollinators, providing habitat, enriching soils, and helping regulate water cycles. Bringing native plants into our yards is a simple way to build resilience in the face of a changing climate. Learn how we apply lessons from ecology to design artistic and ecologically-balanced landscapes.
